New Faculty Orientation
As new Bobcat faculty, we invite you to participate in our New Faculty Orientation (N.F.O.) program. This event is exclusively for benefits-eligible faculty (50%-100% FTE). Newly hired faculty, faculty who have not previously been eligible for TXST benefits, or faculty returning after an extended absence should plan to attend.
During this event, Human Resources will provide ways to help you familiarize yourself with TXST before, during, and after your first day as a Bobcat employee.

WHERE?
J.C. Kellam Administration Building (JCK), 11th Floor Executive Conference Room AB
WHEN?
Wednesday, January 8, 2025. 9 – 11:30 a.m.
Event check-in will begin at 8:30 a.m.
PARKING?
Temporary parking permits will be emailed to you closer to your contract start date. Temporary parking permits will be valid for three weeks past your start date. At that point, you can log into your parking services account and purchase a parking permit.
With your temporary permit, you can access red-restricted lots. Below is a list of the nearby, red-restricted parking garages/lots to use when attending your New Faculty Orientation:
- Parking Behind Butler Hall
- Parking Behind Lantana Hall
- J.C.K. Front Lots
- Live Oak Parking
- Aqua Sports Center Parking
Please use red-restricted lots to avoid parking tickets.
New Faculty Orientation (N.F.O.)
Starting in Fall 2023, Human Resources will be facilitating N.F.O. for all benefits-eligible faculty. We will be sending important new hire information including parking, N.F.O's location and time, benefits and insurance, and other information. We will also collect necessary information to help prepare for your time at Texas State.

New Tenure-Track Orientation (N.T.T.O.)
Faculty Development will email all new tenure-track faculty and postdoctoral scholars information regarding New Tenure-Track Orientation (N.T.T.O.) and the Scholarship & Teaching Excellence Program (STEP). Please visit the Faculty Development website if you have any questions about N.T.T.O.
