New Employee Welcome N.E.W.
As a new employee Bobcat, you have the opportunity to participate in our New Employee Welcome (N.E.W.) program. Conducted by Human Resources, we provide several ways to help familiarize you with TXST before, during, and after your first day.
Below you'll find more details about each session, including their agendas, and important requirements to keep in mind on your first day through your first month.
N.E.W. I (Online course + Virtual Q&A)
- What: Online course via Canvas that explains benefits, payroll, our Bobcat culture, and other important information to get you started at TXST. Followed by an optional Zoom Q&A session with Human Resources staff.
- When: Virtual Q&A first workday of the week.
- Time: 10 - 11 a.m.
- Location: Zoom

N.E.W. II (In-person session + Tours)
- What: In-person session designed to welcome you to TXST, give you a chance to meet various department representatives, and provide you with tours across our main campus, the Meadows Center, and our UFCU Stadium.
- When: The second Friday of the month. *subject to change due to University holiday and/or closures
- Time: 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Requirements for your first month
As a new employee, there are certain requirements you must complete:
- Required training:
- EEO & Title IX
- Ethics & Compliance
- Cybersecurity
- CSA Clery Training (Only for employees identified as a Campus Security Authority)
- Visit the TD & Communications website for more information on required training. Ask your supervisor to determine if you need other required training.

New Faculty Orientation
New Faculty Orientation is dedicated to our new faculty employee Bobcats joining TXST. Our new faculty members can enjoy an orientation tailored to them to learn about university policies and procedures, benefits, technology resources, campus information, faculty organizations, and more!
