What is Development Day?
Development Day is a day dedicated to employee professional development – a free, on-campus and online, synchronous event centered on employees exploring education opportunities, career development, wellness, and community resource and partnership opportunities available to Texas State employees. A full schedule of optional opportunities provides campus offices and individual employees flexibility to explore growth and meet evolving business needs.
When does this event typically take place?
Development Day is typically held in mid-late May once the Spring semester concludes. The timing of the event, including the structure of the agenda (i.e., all in-person, hybrid, or fully virtual offerings) is determined by the HR team in consultation with the Professional Development Advisory Council.
