Allies Contract
As an Ally of Texas State, I understand that I am to serve as a resource.
I will offer assistance by:
- Being a support system
- Providing a safe zone
- Referring individuals to agencies and services who may best serve their needs
- Listening without biases to these issues
I am committed to:
- Further educating myself about LGBTQIA+ issues
- Educating others about LGBTQIA+ issues
- Helping to reduce and remove prejudice and homo/transphobia within myself and others.
- Combating heterosexism and cissexism and oppression of the LGBTQIA+ community
- Providing a safe, confidential support network for LGBTQIA+ members
- Being a positive representative of the Allies of Texas State community
- I am committed to treating everyone with the dignity and respect that they are entitled to as human beings
